Campaign Operations SLA

A Campaign Operations SLA is an internal commitment that sets response and execution time limits for operations work on campaigns: how fast a build request is acknowledged, how long QA and launch take, and how quickly a broken campaign is fixed after an incident.

It is distinct from lead-handling SLAs between sales and marketing; this one governs the ops side, so delays have owners and deadlines instead of open-ended queues.

A practical example

The SLA states build requests are acknowledged within one business day, standard campaigns launch within five, and a tracking failure on a live campaign is fixed within four hours during business hours.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask vendors whether their platforms expose status and timestamps for build, QA, and launch stages you can measure against the SLA.
  • Confirm incident alerts for broken campaigns reach ops through channels that support fast response.
  • Check that SLA performance can be reported per requester or team, not only per campaign.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Tight SLAs without capacity planning create constant breach reporting; commitments must match real team throughput.
