Demand Generation Health

Demand Generation Health is the ongoing monitoring of a standing program's infrastructure: are tracking scripts and pixels firing, are capture surfaces live and current, is lead routing configured for today's team, and are integrations syncing?

Unlike per-campaign checks that happen at launch, program health runs continuously between launches, catching cross-channel breakage—a dead pixel on an evergreen page, routing rules pointing to a departed rep, a broken webinar integration.

It is an operational monitoring practice; terminology varies by organization.

A practical example

Example: a weekly health check across a program's twenty evergreen assets finds that a CMS migration broke the tracking snippet on three landing pages and a routing rule still assigns leads to a rep who left in March.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask whether the tool monitors tag and pixel firing continuously and alerts on failures, not just at publish time.
  • Check if it detects stale routing rules—owners no longer active, unassigned territories, full queues.
  • Test integration monitoring: does it flag sync failures with CRM, webinar, and form tools, and can alerts route to a specific person?

Limitations and tradeoffs

Continuous monitoring adds alert volume; teams need clear thresholds and an owner for alerts or health signals get ignored.
