Landing Page Intent Map

A landing page intent map classifies every landing page into a buyer intent tier, and binds each tier to specific downstream treatment: routing, response SLA, and nurture track.

Search intent classifies what a query means; this classifies what a page signals and what converting on it entitles the visitor to. It is an internal operational label, not a standard.

A pricing page converter signals high intent and may warrant fast sales routing, while a glossary resource converter signals early research and belongs in education nurture.

A practical example

Label: a team maps its pages into three tiers. Tier one, pricing and demo pages, routes to sales within one business day. Tier three, glossary pages, enters a six-email educational track.

A converter on a tier-two comparison page gets a mid-speed follow-up, all configured once in the map.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask whether tiers are stored as a field on the page or campaign record, so routing rules can read them automatically.
  • Confirm each tier has a defined SLA and owner, not just a nurture track.
  • Check the process for assigning tiers to new pages, so the map does not drift as pages launch.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Tier assignments are judgments, and a page can serve mixed intents; a comparison page may attract both evaluators and students, so tier-based handling will misroute some converters.
