CRM Event Intent Score

A CRM Event Intent Score weights first-party activity recorded in your CRM — form submissions, page views, email replies, document opens — into a single intent measure.

Unlike third-party intent vendors, the signal comes entirely from your own systems, so the weights you assign each event type determine the score's meaning.

A practical example

Example: a prospect visits your pricing page twice, submits a demo form, and replies to a nurture email within one week.

Weighted scoring might place pricing visits above generic blog views, pushing the account above a threshold that alerts sales.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask vendors how event weights are configured and whether admins can adjust them without engineering help.
  • Verify which CRM objects and event types are natively supported versus requiring custom integration work.
  • Test whether thresholds can differ by segment, since enterprise accounts may warrant lower alert bars than SMB.

Limitations and tradeoffs

First-party scores only reflect people who already touched your properties; they cannot reveal in-market accounts with no prior activity.

Treat the score as a practical internal label, not a standardized industry metric, and expect calibration to take several cycles.
