Account Signal Intent Score

An Account Signal Intent Score is an internal scoring model that converts raw intent signals — third-party topic research, first-party content visits, review-site activity — into one account-level number.

It differs from the raw signal catalog and from a composite priority score that also mixes fit and pipeline; here the model itself is the decision: which sources count, how much, and how fast scores decay.

A practical example

Example: a team weights first-party pricing-page visits at 3 points, third-party topic spikes at 2, applies a 30-day decay, and sets 8 as the alert threshold for rep outreach.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Can the platform expose per-signal contributions so reps see why an account scored high?
  • Does it support custom weights and decay windows, or only vendor-defined scores?
  • Can thresholds trigger routing or alerts without engineering work?

Limitations and tradeoffs

Vendor intent scores are typically opaque and non-comparable across providers; building your own model requires clean signal feeds and ongoing recalibration, or the score drifts into noise.
