Form Scoring Model

A form scoring model defines how form-specific behaviors contribute to lead scoring: completion depth, partial submissions, correction patterns, and field-level engagement.

Where a lead capture scoring model covers all capture surfaces, this sets the weighting for forms deliberately, so partial intent is not ignored.

A practical example

Label: illustrative scenario.

A model awards points for each optional field completed, fewer for a partial submit abandoned at contact details, and a small adjustment when a user corrects an email twice—signals layered on top of the base submission score.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask whether the platform can ingest partial submits and field-level events, not only final submissions.
  • Check if scoring weights are configurable per form rather than global only.
  • Verify how the model distinguishes hesitation or correction from genuine engagement.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Behavioral signals are noisy: a slow typist or a corrected typo is not low intent. Weights need calibration against outcomes, and over-weighting partial activity can misrank leads.
