Lead Capture Offer Map

A lead capture offer map records which specific offer—whitepaper, webinar recording, trial—each capture surface fulfills, plus the asset's expiry date and its designated successor.

When an offer retires, the map tells you exactly which live surfaces must be redirected or taken down.

A practical example

Example: a 2023 industry benchmark report expires when the new edition ships.

The offer map lists four forms and one chat prompt attached to it, so ops redirects all five surfaces to the successor report on launch day instead of discovering them months later.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Can you query which live surfaces point to a given asset, or is that mapping manual?
  • Does the tool support scheduled content swaps or redirects when an offer expires?
  • Is there a required successor field, forcing retirement decisions at offer creation?

Limitations and tradeoffs

The tradeoff is discipline: the map only works if every new surface is registered at creation, and unregistered surfaces are precisely the ones that keep collecting leads for retired content.
