Offer Intent Map

An Offer Intent Map classifies each offer by the buyer intent tier its acceptance signals, and binds each tier to a defined follow-up.

A checklist download signals early research; a benchmark report signals evaluation; a demo request signals active buying.

Buyer intent signal models describe observed behavior; this map classifies the offers themselves, so automation can treat acceptance of each tier differently—routing, response SLA, and nurture track—without ad hoc decisions per campaign.

A practical example

Example: the map assigns a glossary download to tier 1 (nurture track, no sales touch), a pricing benchmark to tier 2 (nurture plus a scored alert), and a demo to tier 3 (immediate sales routing).

What to evaluate before investing

  • Does every live offer carry an assigned tier, or do some sit unclassified?
  • Is each tier bound to a concrete routing and SLA, documented outside individual campaigns?
  • When a new offer launches, is tier assignment part of the launch checklist?

Limitations and tradeoffs

Tradeoff: tier assignments encode assumptions about intent that can be wrong—an evaluation-stage buyer may grab a checklist—so tiers need periodic validation against outcomes.
