Offer Workflow

An Offer Workflow is the end-to-end lifecycle process for a gated offer: request intake, build, quality assurance, launch, performance review, and retirement.

Each stage has a named owner and an entry condition, so offers cannot be created outside the governed channel.

The workflow differs from a single QA gate because it covers the whole life of the asset, including the retirement step teams usually skip, which is where expired offers keep collecting leads.

A practical example

A webinar replay request enters intake, gets built as a gated page, passes QA on tracking and routing, launches, is reviewed at 60 days, and is retired with its forms closed and redirects set.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask whether intake is a formal request with an owner, or whether teams can publish offers directly.
  • Confirm the workflow includes a retirement stage with form closure and redirect handling.
  • Check that QA covers tracking, routing, and fulfillment before launch, not just page design.

Limitations and tradeoffs

A governed workflow slows down urgent one-off offers, so teams need a lightweight fast path or they will route around the process.
