Account Scorecard

An Account Scorecard is a structured, multi-metric view of one account's performance against plan.

Instead of a single composite number, it lays out several dimensions side by side: coverage (are the right roles contacted), engagement (recent activity), pipeline (open value and stage mix), and whitespace (products or divisions not yet sold).

Teams review it as a recurring artifact in account planning meetings.

A practical example

Example: before a QBR, an AE opens the scorecard for a logistics account and sees engagement is strong, pipeline is thin, and two business units have zero coverage — three separate actions, visible at once.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Confirm the platform lets you define which scorecard dimensions appear per segment, not just a fixed template.
  • Check whether each metric can show trend over time, not only the current value.
  • Verify whitespace and coverage can be computed from your CRM fields, such as division or product lines.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Tradeoff: more dimensions make reviews richer but slower; a scorecard with ten metrics often gets skimmed rather than read.
