Contact Priority Score

A Contact Priority Score ranks individual contacts within an account so sellers know who to engage first.

Unlike an account-level rank, it orders people using factors such as job role, recent engagement, seniority, and inferred influence on the buying group.

The output typically surfaces as a number or tier on the contact record and drives outreach sequencing in multi-threaded deals.

A practical example

Example: in a 40-contact target account, the score lifts a recently active director who attended two webinars above a silent VP title, so the SDR sequences that director first while the AE pursues the executive path separately.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Are scoring inputs configurable, or is the formula a fixed black box?
  • Can scores refresh on a schedule and decay with engagement recency?
  • Does the score surface in the seller's CRM view, not only in the vendor UI?

Limitations and tradeoffs

Influence is inferred, not measured; treat the score as a sequencing hint for sellers rather than an authoritative map of the real buying group.
