Demand Capture Quality

Demand Capture Quality measures how often a capture asset—form, webinar, gated report—produces leads that sales accepts, not just leads that arrive.

It combines three dimensions: fit against your ideal customer profile, completeness of submitted data, and intent tier, meaning how strongly the submission signals buying readiness.

Scoring is usually a rate: the share of a capture asset's output that reaches sales-accepted status, broken down by cause of rejection.

A practical example

A vendor comparison guide form yields 400 leads in a quarter. Review shows 60 percent accepted, while a podcast signup form yields 25 percent, mostly students and competitors.

The quality rate, not volume, reveals which asset deserves budget.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask vendors how their capture tools expose per-asset acceptance rates and rejection reasons in your CRM.
  • Confirm whether fit, completeness, and intent tier can be scored with your existing fields, not vendor-proprietary ones.
  • Check that quality rates can be segmented by source, campaign, and asset type for fair comparison.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Quality rates depend on your sales team's acceptance behavior, so the same asset can score differently across teams; calibrate before comparing assets or vendors.
