Demand Capture Scorecard

A Demand Capture Scorecard is a recurring operational review of each capture asset—forms, chat, gated content, webinar registrations—checking three things: whether conversions are valid (real people, deduplicated, not bot traffic), how fast records route to the right owner, and whether promised offers actually get fulfilled.

It is a practical label for an execution-quality audit, not a universal industry standard. Campaign reporting shows market performance; the scorecard shows where capture infrastructure silently breaks.

A practical example

Example: a monthly scorecard reviews twelve capture assets. A webinar form shows a 40-minute routing delay and a whitepaper asset still promises a report that was retired last quarter—both flagged before the next campaign launch.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask how the tool flags invalid or duplicate conversions per asset, and whether bot filtering is configurable per form.
  • Test routing-speed reporting: can you see time-to-owner per capture asset, not just aggregate lead counts?
  • Check whether offer fulfillment (asset delivery, email confirmation) is tracked and alertable per asset.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Scorecards take maintenance time; teams with few capture assets may get more value from simple alerts than a full recurring review.
