Demand Capture SLA

A Demand Capture SLA is a per-asset commitment for how fast a capture conversion must be routed and contacted.

A demo request may carry a one-business-hour contact commitment, while a newsletter signup carries a much looser one.

The SLA is capture-specific because high-intent conversions decay fastest, and it differs from a general sales response metric by attaching commitments to asset types, defining who owns the clock, and specifying what happens on breach.

A practical example

A team sets a two-hour contact commitment for demo requests and a 24-hour one for gated report downloads.

When demo requests breach, an alert routes to the sales manager and the asset is flagged for routing review.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask whether SLAs can be configured per asset type rather than applied as one global response target.
  • Confirm the system measures routing time and first-contact time separately, since either can breach.
  • Check that breaches trigger a defined escalation, not just a dashboard number.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Tight SLAs on every asset create alert fatigue; commitments should scale with the intent tier of each capture surface.
