Form Offer Map

A form offer map records which specific asset or offer each form fulfills, along with an expiry date and a named successor.

Where a form intent map classifies form types, the offer map binds each instance to deliverable content, preventing live forms from promising gated assets that have been retired.

A practical example

Label: illustrative scenario. A form promises a 2024 industry benchmark report.

The offer map lists its retirement date and successor edition, so when the report is pulled, ops knows exactly which forms to redirect or unpublish the same day.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask whether each form record can store an offer ID, expiry date, and successor link.
  • Check if the system flags or blocks forms whose mapped offer has expired.
  • Verify who is notified when an offer retires and how quickly forms are updated.

Limitations and tradeoffs

The map is only as good as its upkeep. If offer retirements happen outside the mapped process, forms will still drift out of sync with available content.
