Demand Capture Acceptance Criteria

Demand capture acceptance criteria are the written, versioned requirements a capture asset must meet before launch: a defined destination for each submission, working tracking, a named routing target, and any asset-specific rules.

They are the document, not the process; the QA gate is the executable sign-off that checks against them.

Codified criteria give campaign ops a definition of done, so launch disputes reference documented requirements rather than opinion.

A practical example

Before a webinar registration page launches, its checklist requires: submissions route to the events queue, UTM hidden fields populate, the confirmation email fires from the correct sender, and the asset owner is named in the record.

The page fails review because the confirmation email still uses a placeholder sender.

What to evaluate before investing

  • Ask whether the platform supports checklists or required fields tied to asset publishing workflows.
  • Check that criteria are versioned, so you can see what a launched asset was held to at the time.
  • Confirm the gate can block publishing, not just flag issues after go-live.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Overly long criteria lists get skipped under deadline pressure; keep the mandatory set short and move nice-to-haves into a secondary tier.
